5.1 What is the state of JavaScript on mobile devices?

Currently, the AvantGo Client 4.x that is on most users' mobile devices contains a small subset of JavaScript functionality that we call Basic JavaScript. Just recently, we released an AvantGo Client 5.x with a much fuller version of JavaScript that we call AvantGo JavaScript Engine. To see what's available in the AvantGo Client 4.x, see APPENDIX B.
